Join us for a fnSeattle Chapter happy hour hosted by Washington Maritime Blue!

Along with networking, light bites and drinks, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from a few selected chapter members. These members will provide insights from their founder journey and share how to get the most out of your Founders Network membership.

Additionally, fnSeattle members will also have the opportunity to meet Josh Carter, director of Maritime Blue and Principal at 1859 Ventures. Carter is the new Ecosystem Advisor for the fnSeattle Chapter.

ABOUT WASHINGTON MARITIME BLUE

VISION: Washington State will be home to a world-class, thriving, and sustainable maritime industry by 2050.

MISSION: The Washington Maritime Blue Strategy will accelerate the Blue Economy as a leader in maritime clean tech innovation and best management practices that will support a growing maritime economy in all sectors with increased living-wage jobs, a healthy environment, and resilient communities. This will be accomplished through partnership with all stakeholders, including public entities, maritime business, academic and research institutions, ports, labor groups, and community organizations.

FRAMEWORK: The strategy framework consists of top-level goals and development pathways to achieve the goals, with support from initiatives that include projects, milestones, as well as policy recommendations that arise from action areas. The entire strategy is supported by the values of a Blue Economy.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Enter at the Fishermen’s Center building in between the Green Market Deli and Chinooks Restaurant (The circular entranceway at the base of the faux lighthouse). Come to the second floor – turn left – we are at the end of the hallway. Suite 301.

There are plenty of free, 2 hour and 8 hour parking spots available throughout Fishermen’s Terminal. Parking is limited at the Center for Urban Waters. Please plan to ride-share and/or car pool. Contact Karina Martija-Harris (karina@maritimeblue.org) for details.

Visitors are required to be masked in the common space when not actively eating and drinking, no need to show proof of vaccination.
