In this interactive workshop, Jarie Bolander, founder & COO of Lab Sensor Solutions, will teach you how to use proven PR tactics to cut through the noise and attract potential investors and customers by telling better stories.

  • How to pitch a reporter
  • The three parts of a PR narrative
  • Plus, Jarie talks you through a few PR exercises that will help you tell your story better.

About the Speaker

Jarie [jahr-ee] is an engineer by training and an entrepreneur by nature. He has over 20 years of experience bringing innovative technology products to market. This gives him a unique perspective on the power of storytelling for businesses since the best story, not technology, wins. He has published six books with his latest being a Big Idea Nonfiction book called The Entrepreneur Ethos which shows how to build a more ethical, inclusive, and resilient entrepreneur community. Guest Policy

As an fnMember, you get one (1) free guest pass to use at each event. Take advantage of this and help bring new perspectives, skillsets, and experience to members of your chapter. Also, inviting a guest is a great way to see if FN could be a fit for them with no obligation to join.

To that end, we encourage each member to invite and RSVP one (1) guest per chapter event. To ensure the member experience is not diluted by too many or unqualified guests, please see FN’s Guest Policy below:

  1. Guests:
    • Should be a full-time tech founder*
    • Would benefit from FN and would bring relevant experience to members
    • Should be confirmed to not be service-based providers (i.e., real estate, web development, banks, etc.) that are looking to sell to our members
  2. Members are hosting the guest they invite.
  3. Guests can attend one (1) event for free. If they want to attend additional events, please invite and nominate them to join Founders Network.

How to Register Guests:

  • On the event’s specific function page, click “Tickets”
  • Next to “Guest Ticket,” click the number of guests you are registering
  • Click “Review & Check-out”, type in their first name, last name, and email address
  • You have the option to Nominate them, by checking a box.

* Confirm full-time tech founder status by researching them on LinkedIn and/or Crunchbase, if needed.
