How to Mitigate Risk and Attract Investors with Vouch’s David Santana and Joyce Calixto (March 21, 2024)
Virtual · ZoomAccording to a report by CB Insights, nearly half of the startups that failed in 2022 did so because of a lack of financing. When investors consider whether or not to fund a startup, a number of factors such as the strength of the team, the viability of the business model, and the size of the market opportunity go into their decision. Ultimately, investors weigh the potential return on investment against the risk of failure.
In a webinar for Founders Network, Vouch Insurance’s David Santana will explore how startups can de-risk their business and protect themselves and their investors as they raise capital. Vouch is backed by $160M from SVB Capital, Ribbit Capital, Index Ventures, and other leading investors, and is the preferred insurance provider to customers of Silicon Valley Bank, Brex, Carta and WeWork.
In the March 21 webinar David will detail the major risk areas faced by startups, from intellectual property concerns and data breaches to operational liabilities and legal challenges. He’ll also provide practical mitigation strategies tailored to each area, empowering founders to proactively address potential issues before they endanger your chances of securing startup funding.
The webinar will cover:
- How investors weigh risks when evaluating startups
- Common risk areas for startups in various industries
- Actionable steps to minimize risk and enhance investor confidence
