The traditional PowerPoint pitch deck has long been the standard for startup founders looking to secure funding from prospective investors. However, with investors receiving thousands of pitch decks every year, it’s important for founders to set themselves apart.

As a result, some founders are now utilizing video pitch decks to stand out from the crowd. This format is especially useful for startups with a complicated value proposition that might be difficult to convey via traditional mediums.

About the Moderator

Joel Acheson has worked as project/team lead and hands-on contributor on a couple dozen ground-up software engineering projects. These projects range from programmatic media buying systems, data warehouses, attribution systems, media mix models, and analytics platforms. He is currently focused on finding ways to help small and medium-sized B2B brands go to market and generate demand (our own brand, included).
